See if you have what it takes to be a sailor at the USS Constitution Museum. Visit one of the oldest ships still floating for engaging, kid-friendly activities. Children can delve into what life was like on a ship as they haul a model goat onto the ship with a pulley system, try out scrubbing the deck, or sit back in a hammock just like the ones the crew slept in. At a special event, discover the science behind building the USS Constitution or learn and sing songs of the seas with your family at your side.
Put your child's flexibility and stamina to the test at Exxcel Gymnastics and Climbing. The school created just for kids will keep everyone from toddlers to teens excited and active. Enroll them in one of the many classes to learn bouldering techniques, cartwheel basics, or how to tie knots. Stop by for open gym or open climb, where kids can tumble to their heart's content and finally get to the top of the climbing wall. Keep your children busy and active during the summer months at a camp where they can speed down a zip line, fly on a trapeze, and climb in the great outdoors.
Explore the outdoors with Puddlestompers Nature Exploration. Head outside with your kids and a naturalist guide for a few hours of fun in the sun—or in the rain. Classes throughout the seasons encourage your children to learn about the environment and weather and understand how plants and animals thrive through sun, rain, and snow. Songs and crafts with a Mother Nature theme complete the day of fun.
