BEY STAR is a four-day academic beyblade camp. Beyblades are mechanically engineered, next-generation, spinning tops (gyroscopes) grounded in engineering design and applied physics. Two Monday-through-Thursday sessions are being offered this summer: Session One: JUNE 30-JULY 3 / Session Two: JULY 28-31. The cost is $650 per person / per session. BEY STAR is sponsored by The Texas Beyblade League and Institute for Spin Technology (TBBL-Institute), that is the outreach initiative of The National Society of Black Engineers student organization at The University of Texas at Dallas.
Formed in 2013, The Texas BeyBlade League’s purpose is to provide a dynamic place for students to use and develop their knowledge of practical science through the playing of Beyblade. The Institute for Spin Technology was established to provide initial support to the League by determining STEM related activities for the annual, semester-season sessions, gaining event resources, expanding the beyblade related network, raising community support, and securing academic value. TBBL-Institute is the only academic based Beyblade program in the State of Texas.
